Red Star

Best of cruel intentions
Finding what they fail to mention
No truth, all pretention
Raise your hand to give attention

You’d give it
We’d take it
You’d build it
We’d break it
You silently erase it
You’d feel it
We’d fake it

It’s my red star steal it
It’s my red star can’t let go
It’s my red star conceal it
It’s my red star oh no

Wasted education
Celebrating imitation
Misplaced admiration
Speaking for a generation

You’d give it
We’d take it
You’d build it
We’d break it
You silently erase it
You’d feel it
We’d fake it

It’s my red star steal it
It’s my red star can’t let go
It’s my red star conceal it
It’s my red star oh no

  1. To me, this song is about people who are told what truth is and what they believe, but not why. about people tired of being programmed. very deep, I love this song. It also has a killer guitar riff.

  2. I love it!! I’m lovin’ that guitar too!!! πŸ˜‰

    • Awesome! πŸ˜€

By the way, your re-posting of your poem with that background = amazing. I am blown away. So beautiful! I had to sit here and go “wait i DID write that”. You made it even better πŸ˜‰
