AYC 2012!

As I stood there last night, preparing to leave, watching the altar call on the video screen, I was struck with the solemnity of the moment. Young people were responding to God, this was a turning point of their life. In that precious moment, I sensed the presence of God.

I look back at similar experiences in my life, at Youth America when I was a teenager. The decisions I made there and the Word I absorbed there helped shape the man I am today. They were important on an Eternal scale, as this weeks Axis Youth Conference is for every young person in attendance.

I consider it a great honor that I am able to help out by volunteering, though my part is small. One other thing that resonated with me last night as I sat doing data and listening to John Gray preach a powerful message: I have got to get back into youth ministry. Somehow, doing something, i have to get involved with Axis. Jon & Erin, I know I said I was going to do it a couple years ago, but better late than never eh?

I have been away too long.

On a final note, I just want to say again how exciting it is to be able to be a part of AYC! I know that things are on that other level today, wish I could have taken off this week and helped out during the day. I look forward to coming tonight and doing my part to help again!

It is my fervent prayer that every young person who has attended AYC 2012 leaves changed, ready to impact their world for Christ. Let the fire of God’s passion ignite the hearts of this generation, that they may set their worlds ablaze with the love and passion of God!
